The history of this restaurant was born out of necessity. A local entrepreneur who owns local wine stores, restaurants, and bars decided to open a great place for breakfast and lunch in the center of Montalcino. Why? It is hard to get a full American breakfast in town if you are not staying at a full service hotel.
Montalcino needed a place for visitors to get a full American or English breakfast and Le Cocche Restaurant filled the gap. – Brian Pasch
Le Cocche opened in Montalcino the spring of 2025. The eatery has been busy since it opened and people love the food. Tourists and locals are coming here for breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon “aperitivo”.
I love one of their fruit pastries which means they are on the breakfast table every morning we have family guests at Palazzo Tamanti.
Le Cocche is in the direct center of town so its easy to find and convenient for anyone who is traveling through town.
The cafe and restaurant does not have a website at this time but you can expect great food and pastries when you arrive. Here is a detailed menu which lists all their dishes, drinks, and specialties.
