The Tognazzi family, Montalcino residents by adoption, after two decades at the helm of one of the most prestigious restaurants in the town, decided to dedicate themselves to the simple and genuine gastronomy of Montalcino tradition. Pici, bread soup, wild boar, handmade pasta, roasts, cheeses, and local salumi are the main dishes of a simple and tasty cuisine.

The restaurant has inside and outdoor seating, and as you can see from one of our personal photos, they can accomodate a larger party for a memorable meal.
This charming hilltop hamlet has about 200 residents and two amazing restaurants which locals praise. The drive to Sant’Angelo in Colle from Montalcino is only 5 minutes, so make sure you take time to visit.
As a bonus, the Il Poggione winery has a tasting room in the city which is conveniently next to the public parking area.
