Sartoria Principe

About Sartoria Principe

In the center of Montalcino for about 30 years there has been a small tailor’s shop run by two sisters, seamstresses by vocation. Inside you will find everything from table sets to cashmere hats, all Made in Italy and handmade. When you enter you can indulge in small pleasures and positive thoughts. You will discover that there is still a “handmade” world, full of passion, stories and tales that deserve to be heard.

We use so many of their products in our home to give it an authentic Tuscan feel. – Carrie Pasch

For those who have chosen to be a seamstress, the workshop is a mystical place , suspended between the sacred and the profane. The workshop is a space where imagination and “know-how” – the fruit of experience gained over years of work – meet to create something new.

Our laboratory is like a small bazaar: fine fabrics, pillowcases, needles, threads, scissors and sewing machine coexist together in a more or less calm chaos.

A workshop for a craftsman is a place to take refuge in order to give shape and life to his art. Entering the workshop is a bit like entering someone’s dreams, understanding the essence of the work done, the preciousness, the dedication, the effort and the passion.

If you want to know more about what we do, come and visit us in our laboratory: we will be happy to lead you into our “tailor-made” world , where each piece produced is unique and contains all our love for this ancient and precious work, made of sacrifices, but also of many satisfactions.

Award Winning Designs

In addition to beautiful things for kitchen needs, made with the very traditional Busatti fabrics , the shop also features clothing items: dresses and shirts, sweaters and jackets in fine wool, shawls and hats.

All strictly handmade . All unique pieces.
