We have thick, premium quality mattresses which are not common in Tuscany. Many rental homes have thin mattresses which not not allow guests to have a comfortable sleep. Travelers should be careful to ask about the quality of bedding, sheets, and pillows when traveling in Italy. Palazzo Tamanti has invested in the highest quality bedding to align what international travelers would expect in a five-star hotel.
All new heating and air conditioning systems were installed in 2024 giving every room the ability to set its own temperature. Many Tuscan rental homes have inadequate A/C in the hot summer months so rest assured that Palazzo Tamanti can keep you cool when you travel in the summer months and warm in the winter months.
Palazzo Tamanti has a direct fiber connection to Windtre internet service with upload/download speeds over 400 Mb/s. We have install a mesh router system so all room have access to the same wifi network.
Most of the TVs are also hard wired into the internet so streaming movies can be done without any delays. Guests who need a direct ethernet connection will have multiple locations to plug in and work.
Palazzo Tamanti is in the city center so you do not have to walk up or down steep hills to access the property. The palazzo is easily accessed from the main road leading into the central piazza and you can park quickly in our private garage. Our property is just before Re di Macchia as you head towards the city center from the main historical arch.
Palazzo Tamanti has developed relationships with the best local wineries so our guests can gain assistance with booking visits and tours. Our owner has been coming to Montalcino for over 25 years and has created a short-list of the best local wineries to visit. If you need help with booking, just ask.
If you are looking for a customized wine tasting or dinner experience, please give us some advance notice. Some of the restaurants and wineries have special rooms which can accommodate larger parties for special occasions. Keep in mind that some of the best wineries in Montalcino have limited tastings or no public tastings at all.
